Story and Plot
The story revolves around a young man who is trying to get married and eventually falls in love with a girl.
Initially, everything appears to be a normal romantic story. The hero meets the girl, develops feelings for her and their relationship starts moving forward. However, things take an unexpected turn when the hero discovers a surprising truth about the girl.
This changes the direction of their relationship.
The rest of the story focuses on how the hero deals with this unexpected situation, how their relationship develops after the revelation and what happens to their love story in the end.
The basic concept is different, although the overall relationship structure follows a familiar romantic-comedy format.
Lead Actor’s Performance
One of the biggest positives is the performance of Rio Raj.
The actor gets a different type of character compared with some of his previous roles. His characterization, especially in the beginning, feels relatable.
The situations faced by his character while trying to get married can connect with many youngsters. The first 20 to 25 minutes establish his character effectively and provide several entertaining moments.
Rio Raj carries the film well and gives a sincere performance throughout.
First Half Review
The first half has both good and slow portions.
The opening 20–25 minutes are among the better parts of the film. The marriage-related situations, hero characterization and comedy provide some entertainment.
However, there is also a stretch before the interval where the pace slows down and the movie starts testing the viewer’s patience.
The 10-minute stretch before the interval is particularly interesting because the movie starts revealing important information about the concept and the problem faced by the characters.
This creates curiosity about how the second half will develop.
Second Half Review
The second half continues with the relationship complications while adding comedy and other entertaining situations.
There are some fun scenes that work well, but the main problem is the pacing.
The story moves from one scene to another with comedy, relationship moments and small developments, but the overall progression is not particularly fast.
Because of this, viewers who expect a fast-paced romantic entertainer may feel that the second half is somewhat lengthy.
The movie would have benefited from a tighter screenplay and faster progression.
Positives
Different Concept
The central concept is one of the film’s biggest strengths. Although the screenplay follows some familiar romantic patterns, the central idea gives the movie a different feel.
Lead Performance
Rio Raj delivers a good performance and makes his character relatable, particularly during the opening portions.
Comedy
There are several comedy and fun moments throughout the movie. The supporting characters also contribute to some entertaining situations.
Cinematography
The cinematography is another major positive.
The picture quality, framing and overall visual presentation look good. The movie has a rich visual quality that works in its favour.
Music
The songs and background music are decent. The background score supports several scenes effectively, although the impact is somewhat reduced in the Telugu-dubbed version.
Supporting Characters
The hero’s sister character also gets some good moments. The comedy generated through this character works in several portions.
Negatives
Familiar Screenplay
Although the concept is different, the screenplay structure feels familiar.
The basic setup of falling in love, discovering a problem in the relationship and then dealing with that complication has already been explored in several romantic movies.
Therefore, the concept feels fresh, but the screenplay doesn’t always provide the same freshness.
Slow Pacing
The movie becomes slow in certain portions, particularly before the interval and during parts of the second half.
Some scenes could have been shortened to make the narration tighter.
Logical Gaps
There are a few situations where the connection between events and character decisions doesn’t feel completely convincing.
Even after accepting the basic concept, some developments may leave viewers wondering about the logic behind certain decisions.
Weak Emotional Connectivity
The love story could have created a stronger emotional connection between the lead characters.
Since the relationship is central to the movie, stronger emotional writing would have increased the overall impact.
Repetitive Portions
A few scenes feel repetitive, while some portions appear to be stretched beyond what is necessary.
This affects the pace and makes certain sections less engaging.
Is It Worth Watching on OTT?
This is not an extraordinary romantic movie, but it does have enough interesting elements to make it a one-time OTT watch.
If you like movies with different concepts, comedy and relatable characters, you can give it a try.
However, viewers expecting a fast-paced love story with strong emotional highs and constant comedy may find the movie somewhat underwhelming.
Since it is available on Prime Video, watching it on OTT is a better fit for the movie than expecting a major theatrical experience.
Can You Watch It With Family?
Based on the provided content advisory, the movie does not contain adult content. Therefore, it can be considered for family viewing, subject to individual viewer preferences.
Final Verdict
Overall, this is a different-concept romantic comedy with a good lead performance and strong cinematography, but its execution does not consistently match the potential of its concept.
The biggest strengths are Rio Raj’s performance, the different central concept, comedy portions, cinematography and visual quality.
On the other hand, the familiar screenplay structure, slow pacing, logical gaps, repetitive scenes and limited emotional connectivity affect the overall experience.
It is not a must-watch movie, but if you are looking for something different to watch on OTT, you can give it a try.
